(2003) WAV started out as a project band mainly to perform as a regular house band in Port to Port pque owned by Gagal's brother in-law , the band consisting of members Mike Coronel (Bass/Vocals), Mark Centeno (Guitar/Vocals), Axel Vito Cruz (Keyboard /Vocals), Nathan de peralta (Vocals) and Gagal Bravo (Drums), the band played there and in a few other bars for a few months until they became busy with other opportunities individually, that time Maryzark (Axel's band) and Neruda (Nathan and Gagal's band) were into recording, Mike was involved in their family business and Mark decided to take a long break from the music scene to pursue his studies.

(2004) Wav was on hiatus until Mike and Gagal talked about re-forming the band although the other members no longer had enough time to continue, Mike decided to call on former Ridge bandmate Karl Vito Cruz (now Neruda keyboardist and Axel's brother) and former Riff band mate Ed to do vocal choirs to join the band, Mark having said that he was retired from music left one spot to be filled by another guitarist, so wav decided to have auditions for a new guitar player.

they had 2 other guitar players but was only committed as a sessionist for the band until Dennis joined to fill up the spot, having an excellent background in the music scene (former member of the Pepe Smith Band and Tropical Depression) he fit in perfectly.

they did regular gigs in Indos malate and Kapalua baywalk and a few other events and functions. then in Nov of 2006 Dennis had to leave for Australia but promised to come back in january of 2007, so Mike decided to hire a session guitarist in the name of Julius Dumlao (of Maryzark) to perform with WAV while Dennis was away.

Dennis came back as he promised and WAV continued their regular gigs throughout the year until Mike decided to fly to London, England to try his luck in business as well as music as well has meeting up with a few friends residing there including Pete Martin (of 80's New Wave icon 2 Minds Crack) and did a few gigs around London. WAV was on a long break then till Mike returned in March of 2007 and called on the members to resume where they left off, but Gagal had his band equipment rental business going on as well as having a heavy schedule with Neruda so he decided to quit WAV, so then came Gilbert Gatchillian (drummer of a disbanded funk band) to take his place wanting to try a new approach to music the remaining members of WAV posted an add on the internet for a female vocalist that could sing New Wave as well as having the same passion for the genre that was answered by Kristine Go, a commercial model that had a thing for 80's nostalgia. After a few months of building up the new WAV and having a few gigs, Gilbert decided to have a break from the band but was still on call if needed, that time Gagal being able to manage his time with his rental business and Neruda, decided to re-join WAV

Now the new WAV of 2008 is venturing the recording scene armed with a handful of originals and a few remakes that is expected to reach out to people in and out of the world of music
